ACCRA, Ghana — June 24, 2026 — The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced important dates for its ongoing teacher recruitment process, providing clarity for thousands of applicants awaiting updates.
According to a statement issued by the Service and signed by Deputy Director-General (Management Services), Prof. Smile Dzisi, the review of submitted applications is currently underway as authorities assess applicants to ensure they meet the requirements stated in the recruitment advertisement.
GES said the application review exercise is expected to be completed by June 30, 2026.

Following the review process, the Service indicated that shortlisted candidates will be announced on July 20, 2026, after which onboarding activities will begin at both regional and district levels.
The onboarding process is scheduled to run from July 20 to August 31, 2026, while successful applicants are expected to officially assume duty on August 31, 2026.
“Management of the Ghana Education Service expresses its appreciation to all applicants for their interest in serving the nation through the Service,” the statement noted.
The Service also thanked applicants for their patience and understanding throughout the recruitment process and wished them success.
