GAF Opens 2026/2027 Enlistment for Degree Holders and Professionals
The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) just opened the door. The 2026/2027 enlistment exercise is now underway, targeting degree holder and working professional looking to join the military.
GAF shared the full breakdown of entry requirements and application categories on its official Facebook page, so anyone considering applying should start there for the specifics.
The process itself begins on Thursday, September 3, 2026, when application vouchers go on sale for GH¢200.00 at designated Ghana Post Offices nationwide.
A day later, on Friday, September 4, the online application portal at apply.mil.gh opens up, giving applicants the platform to complete and submit their forms. There’s a firm deadline attached all applications must be submitted online by Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
Alongside the announcement, GAF issued a clear caution to the public. In a press release signed by Acting Director General of Public Relations, Captain (Ghana Navy) Veronica Adzo Arhin, the military high command warned prospective applicants to be careful of recruitment scams circulating around enlistment season.
The message was direct: GAF doesn’t work through middlemen or agents, and it never asks for any payment beyond the official voucher fee. Anyone approached with claims otherwise should treat it as a red flag.
To help catch fraudulent activity early, GAF has set up dedicated contact lines for reporting suspicious recruitment schemes reachable by phone at 0256 405 104 or via WhatsApp at 0256 405 154.
