BoG Rate: Cedi Buys at 11.75 to the Dollar on Tuesday
According to the Bank of Ghana’s official figures for Tuesday, October 6, the cedi was buying at 11.7591 to the dollar and selling at 11.7709.
The pound sterling bought at 15.5420 and sold at 15.5588 on the same day.

These daily figures fit into a bigger narrative the BoG has been building recently. Governor Dr Johnson Pandit Asiama has pointed to a significant recovery for the cedi against major international currencies, alongside strengthened external reserves and growing economic momentum across multiple sectors.
According to Asiama, growth has become increasingly broad-based, supported by improvements in services and agriculture, while industry continues its gradual recovery.
He framed all of this as contributing to a more stable, predictable environment something businesses and investors have been watching closely. These developments have contributed to creating a more stable and predictable environment for businesses and investors, he said, speaking at the launch of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre’s (GIPC) 2025 Annual Investment Report.
