Miss Ghana unveils Stacy Amoateng, Okyeame Kwame and Kafui Dey as judges for 69th Miss Ghana auditions

Exclusive Events Ghana has announced a four-member judging panel featuring media, entertainment and business leaders as auditions for the 69th Miss Ghana pageant begin in Accra.

ACCRA, Ghana — Exclusive Events Ghana has unveiled a four-member judging panel for the auditions of the 69th Miss Ghana pageant, bringing together prominent figures from Ghana’s media, entertainment and pageantry sectors as the competition prepares to begin its nationwide search for the next Miss Ghana.

Media executive Stacy Amoateng, award-winning musician Okyeame Kwame, broadcaster Kafui Dey and lawyer, entrepreneur and former Miss Ghana Inna Mariam Patty will oversee auditions scheduled for Saturday at the Oak Plaza Hotel on Spintex Road in Accra.

The organisers say this year’s auditions mark the official start of the country’s longest-running national beauty pageant, with contestants expected to demonstrate confidence, leadership, communication skills and a commitment to community development in addition to personal presentation. The 69th edition is being held under the theme “Empowering Women, Enduring Legacy”, reflecting the organisers’ focus on female leadership, cultural pride and social impact as the competition approaches seven decades of existence.

A panel with diverse expertise

The judging panel combines experience from broadcasting, entertainment, entrepreneurship and pageantry. Leading the panel is Inna Mariam Patty, a former Miss Ghana who has spent more than a decade as franchise holder and National Director for Miss World Ghana. Organisers say her experience as both a former titleholder and administrator provides valuable insight into selecting contestants capable of representing Ghana internationally.

She is joined by Stacy Amoateng, whose career in television production, media management and philanthropy spans nearly three decades, and Okyeame Kwame, whose work extends beyond music into advocacy on education, climate action and youth development. Broadcaster Kafui Dey, recognised for his work in communications and mentorship, completes the panel.

Beyond beauty

Organisers say contestants will be assessed on qualities extending beyond physical appearance. Candidates will be evaluated on communication skills, confidence, patriotism, leadership potential and awareness of contemporary social issues. They will also be expected to demonstrate genuine commitment to community-based initiatives and social impact projects.

Eligibility for this year’s competition is open to women aged between 18 and 26 who are considered morally upright, community-minded and able to represent Ghana on national and international platforms. During the auditions, contestants will also have opportunities to showcase talents, including singing, dancing, spoken word and rap.

Why this matters

Founded in 1957, Miss Ghana has evolved from a traditional beauty contest into a platform that promotes leadership, education, entrepreneurship and community service among young Ghanaian women. The organisers say the competition continues to emphasise purpose-driven leadership alongside cultural representation, aligning with broader conversations about women’s empowerment and youth development in Ghana. For many contestants, the auditions represent the first step towards opportunities in advocacy, public speaking, social entrepreneurship and international representation, making the selection of an experienced and multidisciplinary judging panel an important aspect of the competition’s credibility.
