Speaker Bagbin Summons Parliament to Sit on September 29
Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has issued a summons calling members to sit on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 12 noon.
According to a notice dated September 24, 2026, the summons was issued in line with Article 112(3) of the 1992 Constitution and Order 53 of Parliament’s Standing Orders the standard constitutional and procedural framework governing how the Speaker calls the House back into session.
The notice carries the Speaker’s signature, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.
This latest summons comes after Parliament’s previous scheduled sitting, which ran from August 24 to 28, 2026, meaning members will be returning to the chamber roughly a month after that session wrapped up.
